About ProdiJee:
Metro Detroit’s Dance Crew known as “ProdiJee” consists of four talented young men who are not only fantastic hip hop dancers, but who also excel highly in their academic achievements. Their grade point averages range between 3.4 and 4.0 with consideration of a heavy dance rehearsal and performance schedule throughout the year. ProdiJee members are Marquis Calhoun (17), Preston (Priince) Dukes (17), Martez Calhoun (15), and Darius (BJ) Boatner (14). They have been dancing together collectively for more than three years and are also competitive dance team members of RML Entertainment under the tutelage of dancer and vocal artist, Rita Mosley. Over the years they have also received dance instruction from well-known choreographers such as LeDarryl “Jig” Hart, Eric Upshaw and Justin Antonio. Beyond their dance/choreography talents, they also enjoy producing, playing musical instruments, acting, and even exploring areas of tap, modern and dunham dance techniques. They are also supports of Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. ProdiJee has competed in regional and national dance competitions and have won top medals, trophies, Judges choice awards, and cash prizes throughout Michigan and Ohio. Collectively, they have performed for the likes of Aretha Franklin, Charlie Wilson, Deitrick/Damita Haddon and several at community festivals. In the very near future, ProdiJee plans to launch a middle/high school tour hoping to inspire other young dancers with their style and technique of hip hop dance. Ultimately, ProdiJee’s goal is to translate the rhythm of the music they hear in their ears into the moves you see on stage, in-sync-as-one, full of power and energy while explosively entertaining their audiences of all ages each time they hit the stage. God has truly blessed ProdiJee with moves that speak volumes without uttering one word. For that, they are thankful!
